I just thought of a cool thing I can do with my video iPod. I have it in the dock on my desk, and decided to use it as a digital picture frame, letting it cycle through the photo catalogue. Is this bad for the iPod's HDD to be constantly accessing the information? Or will this not affect the HDD?

I had read before that letting the drive constantly spin is not a good idea for the small drive. But at the same time, it's not like I am going to have my iPod do this 24/7, just whenver I am in the mood to look at pictures while at my desk.

Thanks in advance to anyone who replies.

That shouldn't put any more strain on the drive than playing a video. And the iPod is designed to do these slideshows. So if you're not doing it 24 hours a day, it shouldn't hurt anything.
