So can we expect 10.9.3 anytime soon? According to the Mac App Store Mavericks was last updated on February 24th. I usually wait a few point updates in before upgrading. Plus I heard that this coming update would restore iPhone sync through USB instead of strictly through iCloud. Any guesses as to when we can expect this update?

It appears the final beta version of 10.9.3 was released to Apple employees last week, and this usually happens right before the public release. So I would guess we will get a 10.9.3 release within the next couple of days.

I admire your caution. I avoid initial releases like the plague, but I've never managed to last beyond 'point two' on what appears to be a fundamentally worthwhile upgrade (didn't bother moving from 10.6 to 10.7 on my old iMac; didn't bother moving from 10.7 to 10.8 on my Mini).

Come on in. The 10.9.2 water's fine.

LOL, i've run EVERY update the moment it's available...since about 10.3! and no regrets. certainly i've encountered issues, but nothing life or death...

That's okay. I'll wait. Like I said I want iPhone syncing through USB which 10.9.0 - 10.9.2 does not have. Apple is supposedly reinstating it in 10.9.3.

Well, yeah, OP's stated concern was restoration of syncing via USB rather than "strictly through iCloud". My point is that I synced via USB yesterday, am I missing something?

OP was talking about syncing calendar and contacts etc over USB, which cannot be done with the current setup and is coming back with 10.9.3.

It doesn't? I just synced my 5 yesterday on my MBP, via USB, running 10.9.2.....

I heard they removed that feature from Mavericks. You could only sync through iCloud which I don't care to ever have. Maybe you can sync your music or movies through USB but not contacts, calendars, etc. Those are only through iCloud.

Why do you not want iCloud? It's so much easier
