I'd like the following feature implemented (for the iPod, too):
When a song is highlighted in any playlist, ctrl-click/right-click on it and get the option to
"Show this album" or
"Show all of this artist"

That'd be great! It happens to me so often that I come across a song while playing in shuffle mode and want to listen to more of the same album/artist.

I'm not the only one with that idea, am I? 😱

leave feedback on apple's support site. hopefully if enough people chime in the feature will be implemented. although its lacking some features that many of us have wanted for a while now. such as gapless playback. etc.

Option click on the iTMS link and you'll be taken to that artist/album in your Library.

I just sort my library by artist and then on shuffle when I hit a song it's right by all the other songs by the artist..? 😕

Yes, and get the small hack that "reverses" iTunes Music Store links (so that single-clicking on them shows the artist in your library, and option-clicking uses the iTMS), since it's a lot more efficient.

Been using this hack for months 😀 Good stuff, and a wonderful feature.

O THANK YOU, Applespider!!!
That's exactly what I wanted! - I had turned off those iTMS-links 🙄

Is there something similar on the iPod as well?

Thanks again,

To do this, open Terminal and write:

defaults write com.apple.iTunes invertStoreLinks -bool YES

(NO to get it back).

I was just about to ask what the hack is - thanks a lot 🙂

I'm so happy I could cry (mind the hyperbole...)

Thank you all for this very quick and fruitful help 🙂
