Wow, the Dock is moving so fast, it's blurred!
Actually, this is pretty neat. Makes the thought of owning a generic PC a little more palatable. Less frequent taste of vomit in my mouth. Here's to the Crazy Ones http://forums.macrumors.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=35452 (http://www.uriah.com/apple-qt/movies/think-different.mov)

Won't happen with 10.4.4. 10.4.3 was the last version to support BIOS. So until EFI PCs start coming out (and don't mention the Itaniums because I doubt OSX was coded to run on them) and someone has extracted Apple's EFI then a no go.
In fact Apple's copy protection might just be "This computer has bluetooth" listed somewhere in the EFI and if the EFI and hardware don't match then it won't boot. Of course it'd be more specialized and not necessarily Bluetooth but that'd be all they'd have to do. Of course you could build a PC with the same specs as an iMac - but it'd more often than not be more expensive.

Man.how many times do I have to say this..
Script kiddies have been using 10.4.3 8f1109 on PeeCee's for a while now..there was no efi because it was using an older motherboard with BIOS.
The new Intels have a newer board with EFI and 10.4.4
10.4.4 will not run on a PeeCee without some code..

This is really old new. There have been numerous reports in the past of people getting the Developer Version of "Mac OS X for Intel" running on x86 based computers. The story above is just another one of those people who got it (finally) running on their hardware....

 Wowee, what a suprise! If I had a digital camera, I could post pictures of it running on my ThinkPad, along with my P4 and my AMD64. This is not fricking new news!
