Mailbox messages deleting by themselves

Hi all,

I have a mailbox with subfolders setup in Mac Mail which I use to store important messages.

Today I noticed that months and months worth of messages aren't appearing in most of the folders.

Does anyone know why they would be gone? I haven't deleted them.

It's the local messages that are gone.

I tried what you said and it re-indexed ~1400 messages, which sounds about right. But I can only see a few hundred in my folders..

Even when I go into ~/Mailbox/Folder.mbox... the messages aren't there =/
