Pinnacle Studio MovieBox DV

I have an old canon camcorder that uses Hi-8 film. I'm looking for a way to get the film onto iMovie to edit (the times when the camera is pointed at the ground...), and then use iDVD to put it onto a DVD. Does anyone have this?
How does it work?
Is there anyother "box" that will do the same job for less money?
