I'm getting a new Intel iMac 17" base specs. I'm tracking it on FedEx very carefully. It's shipping from China. It's in Indianapolis right now, is this similar to your iMac's shipping route? And if so, if you live on the west coast, where does it go next?
Thanks!

It all depends on the carrier, where their hubs are and where they might do intl shipments from in order to clear customs.

Ok, thanks. I hope it comes to the west coast today. Maybe it'll come early ...
Which brings another question: did the estimated shipping date turn out to be accurate?

Which brings another question: did the estimated shipping date turn out to be accurate?Mine came ahead of schedule. Apple's original estimate was 3-5 business days before it would ship, and it would be delivered 5 business days after shipping. I received it 1 business day after shipping, if you don't count Saturday, and don't count the "time warp" of skipping back a day when crossing the international dateline.
FedEx is fast! I've noticed in the past that my packages arrive the next business day after they arrive in Memphis, TN. I'm in California.
Here is my FedEx tracking log:

Oh nice, looks like you're right by a FedEx hub ... I got a mini-DVI adaptor the same time as my iMac, it shipped from California very fast, but it went to Portland, then Salem then Newberg (where I live)
So I guess I'm expecting the iMac to go to Seattle or California, then Portland then Salem. *crosses-fingers*
I hope it doesn't take too many detours, my roommate's iPod went to from China to California to Seattle to Chicago (and stuck in a snowstorm) then finally to Portland.

So has it arrived yet? I'm curious to know if it crossed the country like mine. Does your tracking log show routing through Tennessee?

I ordered mine on January 12th and it shipped on January 20th with an estimated delivery date of the 27th. Fedex showed the delivery date to be the 23rd, but it got to my house on the 21st.
As far as the route it took: it went from Shanghai to Anchorage, AK to Memphis, TN to Dallas,TX.

Mine is been sitting in China since the 23rd. It stated shipped on the 23rd and states it has future delivery requested. Anyone know what this means? Thanks

Actually it suprised me, it went right from Indianapolis to Portland and then right to me, it took a total of two days to ship (not counting the day it sat in portland becuase they don't deliver on Sundays) it got here on the 23rd, two days earlier than expected delivery date.

Mine went from China to Japan, where Fed Ex says it is currently sitting. It's scheduled to be delivered to me in Georgia on the 31st.
