I bought an iBook on the 3rd of this month. iLife '06 was released shortly afterwards. Is Apple doing a promotion where you get iLife '06 for around £14? I know they were doing it last year when I bought my eMac but I never got around to filling in the forms.

Thanks for any help.

Shaun.

Not when you bought your Mac on 3 Jan. You have to have bought it from the day of the keynote to get the benefit of the Up to Date program.

You could always try http://www.apple.com/uk/ilife/uptodate and 'fix' the dates of the purchase so you become eligble. It only checks on the 'serial' number of your machine.

I went to the website listed. I entered my serial number and date of purchase (I changed it to the 10th of January) and it allowed me to add iLife '06 Up To Date to my basket. If I submit the order will it want a photocopy of my receipt?

If this the identical iLife which is on sale in the shops? Does it come in the proper box etc?

mine just came in a sleeve i think, I don't remember a box.

but all the box has is the disk, an iWork trial disk, and some papers. If you save the money, it's worth giving that up.

I up-to-dated last yeard with a replacement mac from AppleCare around 20th Jan. They DID require a proof of purchase.
