17" PBs @ Apple Store?

I wanna go check out the new 17" PB at an Apple Store - do the stores have floor models yet?

Nope. I called just after the keynote on Tuesday, and the Apple Store @ International Plaza told me they would hopefully have floor models the next day, but when I was in there on Saturday they said they wouldn't have floor models until the release (exact words: "two weeks on the 12", mid-february on the 17"). totally sucks.

I'd be surprised if they were even out by then, cleo.

They still don't have the 1GHz 15" on display at my local Apple Store because they can't keep them in stock. Depending on how well they sell, it might be longer until they have display models out.

I called my local apple store, in Milwaukee and got an answer. They told me they wil have a 12 inch pb on display next week, and a 17 inch on display in feb.
I just wish they had released the 15 inch, i might fork out the extra money and hope the 17 inch is portable enough.

The only new things I saw since the show were Keynote and Final Cut Express.

They merely had signs for the new PowerBooks and iLife.
