iPod Transfering Songs in Ipod to Comp?

Is there any way you can transfer songs you put into your ipod into your computer?, or any other computer?

open the terminal ... (assuming you're using OS X)

Code:

mkdir ~/Desktop/iPod_songs
cd /Volumes/[i]iPod's name[/i]/iPod_Control/Music/
cp -R */* ~/Desktop/iPod_songs

your songs will be in the folder on the desktop ... do what you want with them at will

or, as the person above you said, get the app called Senuti.

You know, because it comes in handy when your iPod is filled to capacity, and iPod capacity > computer's capacity 😛 and you only want some of the songs...or when you want a playlist or two as well..

I use iPodRip. It works great because it imports the meta data.

senuti is almost the same as iPodRip except it's free.

is there a application for Windows that is free? I know Senuti is only for Apples and well IpodRip works for windows but its not free

On my mac i use a program call iPodDisk. Works very well. As for windows i dont know, but this site has a list of ones that work on mac and PC.

Sharepod is free for windows, http://www.sturm.net.nz/website.php?Section=iPod+Programs&Page=SharePod#download
It is probably worth download the *.ocx files to your iPods root directory too... Many PC's *don't* actually have those files.
