(assuming you're using OS X) Code: mkdir ~/Desktop/iPod_songs cd /Volumes/[i]iPod's name[/i]/iPod_Control/Music/ cp -R */* ~/Desktop/iPod_songs your songs will be in the folder on the desktop ... do what you want with them at will Cheers!

Sharepod is free for windows, http://www.sturm.net.nz/website.php?Section=iPod+Programs&Page=SharePod#download It is probably worth download the *.ocx files to your iPods root directory too... Many PC's *don't* actually have those files.
