Just wondering...who has actually gone to an apple store and how many? I've been to 28 out of 52 (in the US) so far and well I can't find anyone who has been to more...

I have, twice, to the same store, and it's much more than 200 miles away from me... I don't travel to large cities where you'd find Apple Stores that much... My high school band is planning a trip to Houston Texas, and part of the trip is a stop at the galleria... I'll be able to show my band friends what an Apple store is truly like...

We don't even have one in the state. Next time I go to chicago, i'll definitely visit. There's a new mall slated to open here late next year, i'd imagine Apple will wait until then to open one... it's supposed to be bigger than the mall of america, 4 stories with a full-sized waterpark inside, among other features. I could see Apple doing it. It's just sooo far away!

I now live in East Bay, Cali. The new Bay Street store is literally a block away. But even when I was out here checking for a place to live and visiting my school I drove to Palo Alto to see the store there. Sadly, it is nicer than the one next door.
Now get this - one of my buddies with whom a friendship has been built on pro-audio and Macs had never been to one until I dragged him. He has lived in the area his entire life.
Here's another poll - how many have been to the Cupertino HQ? I went all three times I came to San Francisco, and again when I moved across the bay. (If only the Apple Store had all those great T-shirts, coffee mugs, etc)

Only 2 - the one near me at Mayfair Mall in a suburb of Milwaukee, and the one at Woodfield Mall in a suburb of Chicago.
Mayfair's is a "boutique" whilst Woodfield's is normal-sized.

I go to the one at Woodfield mall in Shaumburg IL all the time. They are working on a new one downtown Chicago in the old Gap building. I can't wait for them to finish! One of these days I'll go visit the one in Oakbrook IL too.

I stopped at the Raleigh store on my way back from a gig in the outer banks. Pretty cool. It's in one of those outdoor malls.

Same here. Hopefully this will be the year that Apple decide to expand out of the US. At least here in London there are a number of stores that devote a lot of space to Macs.

Even though living in the UK, on recent travels I've been to the Glendale, LA one in it's first month of opening, and since then to the Boston, MA one, and the Phoenix AZ one - all have been superb - Hello to Helen in the Apple Store Biltmore if she's reading this!!

Apple should put one in the suburbs of Kansas City, MO on the Kansas side. I think it would do well. The closest one to me is in St. Louis.
I think we are going to the Mall of America this summer in MN.

These don't sound like Apple™ brand Apple stores. They sound like stores that sell Apple products. We have a couple of those in CC Philly- Springboard and Bundy, but Apple™ Stores are a much different experience (so I've heard)....

Dang!
Only been to the SoHo store (I assume you've been to that one). Yeah, I like going to the Apple store - they actually let you play with the computers, and the computers are actually networked and have cool software you can try out. Contrast this with your average electronics store (CompUSA, Circuit City), where if the computers are even turned on they are almost never networked or have interesting software installed. Can't wait to see the new PowerBooks first hand! I went the day after the keynote but they didn't have any :(

Yeah, we have some great ones in NYC, including the legendary TekServe (you can get ANYTHING there - especially for older macs). There's another one called Digital Society, though I haven't been to it.

I have only been to the one in the short hills mall in NJ..
very nice store... I love it... my gf was telling me about the one in Soho... and it sounds like I have to visit that one sometime...
but it has been pretty convenient that I work about a half mile away from the mall...
I just bought my iBook there last week, and just received my extra 512MB of RAM today... from OWC... :D

I've been to 1, and not even the one in the city I live in. Guess working at a Mac store makes me a little less interested, since I get to see most of the new stuff anyways, and play with it a little (we burn in new machines for customers to make sure they don't get a bad machine from the factory. :D )

Why did I go to so many? Well, I've been to every one on the West Coast because I live here-there's a lot in California if you haven't noticed-and I go traveling a lot. I'm planning on going to at least 50 by the end of this year.
Oh...ibookin'@mwny...YOU KNOW ME. Come on we went to the apple store @ the grove together on a date on SUNDAY!!!!!

I went to the Northridge store when it first opened, just to see. I went to The Grove a few times, including its grand opening and the Jaguar event. I never need anything there; I just go to visit with other Mac-flavored people. In fact, the best part of the Jaguar event was waiting in line with strangers. We had a nice discussion about InDesign while waiting to get in. I've also been to lectures/seminars at Apple stores and the Santa Monica office. And I've taken friends to The Grove. On one visit, I managed to break a kiddie program running on an eMac in the "play area", which then crashed the eMac. Oops!

Coincidently, I went to an Apple Store yesterday to have a product exchanged. Since this was after the 10 day policy, however, I ended up getting a white Pro Mouse and a USB extention so I can use my mouse with my right hand with my iBook. A belated holiday gift. :)
The people there are nice, but some people there seem to be on dream street from time to time, though it's hard to notice when you are surrounded by so many computers.
And I live no more than an hour away from three Apple Stores. :p

Hmm...right handed eh? The one thing I love about the Pro Mouse is that it's easy to use ESPECIALLY when you're ambidexterous because it's so simple.
Nice...three apple stores! my parents live no more than 45 minutes away from four. :D

I went to the one in Tyson's Corner while on a trip, passing through the town. It was annyoing, though, since they didn't have any functioning AlumiBook 17's. They only had a non-functioning on hanging in the window.

I've only been to the NY store which is probably the coolest place I have ever seen. The glass stair case is so cool!!!
I hope to visit the King of Prussia store soon, and I pray that Apple opens a store in Princeton NJ that way I could drive there and work!!

dude, this is an old thread... but anyway...
i've never been to a Apple brand Apple store. i've been to Infinite Systems and Next Byte in Brisbane, they're the only two i can think of.
Apple really needs to open one of their own stores here, that would be awesome!! :D
