I find this idea to be offensive to my preconceived notions of right and wrong, hence I'm ignoring it.

I freely admit I only voted for Kerry because I can't stand Bush. I definitely would have voted for Tom Hanks over either of those guys if he had a chance to win. Which he probably would have since I don't know anyone who likes either of them. And hey, look at how well the Governator did.
Of course, I would have voted for a dead cat over either of those guys if it had a chance.
