I recently installed little snitch. When I started skype little snitch informed me that it wanted to connect to a server. I clicked on 'deny' and the next one popped up. After a few minutes it became apparent that this was going to continue indefinitely.

What is it all about and should I be concerned. Is there any possible danger to my computer. I'm using the standard mac firewall and an adsl router/modem.

Here is the list of connections that I could be bothered to copy I don't know when or if it was ever going to stop.

Sounds a little weird, I've never been asked this when using Skype. Maybe make sure you have the latest version, or maybe just reinstall it. I don't think Skype is supposed to ask you to connect to a server.

I've recently installed the latest version.

I should be clear that it is not Skype that is doing the asking it is LittleSnitch. If it was up to Skype it would just connect without me knowing.

Skype is a peer to peer network so its quite normal - go to little snitch in system prefs and make a user rule to allow any connection for Skype.

Should I set the prefs for Skype to allow *any* network connection.

And also should I set the port and protocol to *any*?
