Hey guys-

I'm leaving the internet for about 23 more days as of the time this was written.

Reason? I got a bad grade on a semester test and I'm grounded. It's been 6-7 days since i was grounded, but, i just wanted to let you all know.

I might pop in and say a word or two once in a while, but other than that, i'm gonna be gone.

I don't want to be like wdlove, I want to give you a reason why I'm leaving.

*turns off G5* :(

You got a bad grade in Art and you can't go on the internet?
Or did you get a bad grade in another class?

So long, lilstewart92. Hope the next 23 days are not as painful as they seem , if that makes any sense.

My parents are strict and yeah, i did bad in one other class. My G5 is now going to be heading down to the dinning room table. :(

Yeah, the past 6-7 days have been sooooooooo boring. :( :o

Actually, I'm happy for you. You're very blessed to have parents who love you enough to help you with boundaries. You're sharp, and after a brief 101 course on modifying/preventing obsessive-compulsive behavior, you'll be back with a healthier perspective and a more balanced life.

Looking forward to having you back soon, lilstewart92, and I hope you can improve on your grade in the class.

You might have to change your time ratio from 90% Macrumors / 8% other Internet / 2% studying to something more reasonable, like 90% Macrumors / 0% other Internet / 10% studying. ;)

As always Doctor Q, your statistical/mathamatical calculations are pretty much spot on. ;)

After just having completed my last year of high school, I think my study ratio was pretty close to about 20% study, 20% socialising, 20% working, 20% TV and 40% MR. :D (I know that equals more than 100%, but that's due to the fact that most of the time studying was spent simultaneously browsing MR) :D

Just spend a little bit more time studying, it'll make everybody happy, and then you'll be able spend as much time on MR as you like. Have a nice break from the net, it won't be as hard as it sounds. ;)

I think it's going to be like (seriously now): 50% whatever I want to do (macrumors ;)) and the rest for studying and school related things and when I get done, MR here I come!

Don't worry to much about us we will be here waiting for you until then keep on studying.Maybe all 66,000 members here should agree not to post anything for 23 days, so lilstewart92 doesn't miss anything. It'll also be a mighty show of support and solidarity. Of course, if anybody posts to agree to this plan, that'll spoil it!

So we'll go with plan B: We'll try not to post anything interesting.

Take your break, hit those books and remember, the internet isn't going to take you to college and get you the best job you can get...your grades will get you to college. If you can't even get good grades because of the distractions in life, then what does that say for your work ethic?

Someone once told me that...it pissed me off, but they were right.
