Hi there

I need to capture a 20 minute segment of a Super VCD title -- thing is I've never done this before and [as the title suggests] I'm concerned that it may contain some kind of copy protection scheme.

Does the SVCD spec. allow for such security to be implemented?

It's a completely legit job as it's a corporate piece for the same client!

Thanks in advance... ;)

Don't believe so, in fact IIRC unlike DVD/VOB and VCD/DAT SVCD stores the files on disc as plain jane 480x480 MPG files. No ripping/demuxing etc... software required. Should be drag & drop.

But then again, I could be wrong...

Thanks for the response -- I had a gut feeling that there's no protection scheme in place with regards to SVCD [but as you rightly say we could both be wrong!!].

Many thanks once again... ;)
