OK silly noob question.
With windows to change all icons with just one click I used Icon Packager by Stardock and to change themes I used WinBlinds. On a mac, what do I need to do that? Is it just shapeshifter? I don't recall the free trial allowing for icon customization.

Thanks.

Although I'm not Compile 'em all, I'll partially answer. They're from various sets. The Music folder is from the Matrix (http://www.iconfactory.com/preview.asp?type=search&id=200&query=matrix) set, and the documents is from Xpack (http://interfacelift.com/icons-mac/details.php?id=1601). The ones you got are correct. As for The sites, shared, and pictures icons
they are done by Sascha Hhne from rad e8 (http://www.rad-e8.com/). I got the Movies/Videos and
desktop icons from Interfacelift, I think they were part of the "modern times" pack.

I don't know about themes, but pretty much all the finder mods you see
here changes only the icons which have zero overhead.

From the Unsanity (http://www.unsanity.com/news/) website (the people who make Shapeshifter, the theming app):
Haxies will slow down application launch times, yes. This happens because the haxie code needs to be initialized when the application loads, so this can add additional overhead of several milliseconds per haxie installed (typically in the range of 20 to 200 milliseconds on a modern Mac, depending on the specific haxie).

Typically you will not notice much, if any, slowdown. Once loaded, haxies stay inactive and will not use any of the processor power unless you use them (collapse a window, browse an Apple menu, etc).

We are constantly working on improving our haxies, so we recommend you to keep an eye on our site or subscribe to our mailing list to always run the latest versions of our products.

FWIW, I've never noticed any slowdown, and once applications are launched, they behave as normal.

I just got CandyBar and so I'm playing around with my icon sets a bit lately. This is the AlBook series from interfacelift. It's a nice clean series, which goes well with the aqua interface I think. My only wish is that they'd add folder icons for burnable and smart folders, other than that it's great.

I was just wondering if there is a program that changes all of the icons. I have downloaded many sets but was wondering if there was some way of switching all of the present icons easily and not have to do it manually. This would also be good for downloading things off the internet as any pdf files etc were automatically given the set icon.

Colour is the correct way if you are writing english and live anywhere on the planet with the exception of the USA. Same with Rumour, Humour and a bunch of other words.
