I would really like to have a 12" laptop just for taking notes with in class seeing as my 17" doesn't currently fit on any of my desks. Would this be a good buy? Thanks

not bad. The software really helps. ***looking up how much MS office costs, get back in edit***. If you just need to take notes that should be a fine computer and it seems like a good buy. I'm NOT an expert though. Just i know MS Office costs alot. iLife seems like it might be a little slow. Just my opinion though.

EDIT: Office 2004 for Mac (the newest) costs 399.95. what version of office is it? If its the newest, its a GREAT deal. If its not, its still a pretty good deal.

I'm sure he could get Office for Mac Student and Teacher Edition, which costs
$149.95 from the Apple Store Online.
