Ripping a DVD

I'm trying to rip a DVD that my friend made so that I can give him the disc back. I've used Mac the Ripper to get the .vob file, but these a a prob with the audio when I convert that file into a .avi or.mpg. There are to languges on of the dic, Dutch and English, and it's riped the Dutch. Does anyone know a way I can get the English on the play back? I used Shiiva to convert the vob.

Use HandBrake too convert it.

I've used handbreak, but it kept messing up the video playback. It went very 'line-ey' in part when that was quick movement. It's OK now though as I've found the option (I must pick sound track 1, not 0). Thanks anyways.

Enable de-interlacing under picture settings to clear up the picture.
