Uninstalling Stuff

Hello..

I'm a recent convert from windows to mac, and I installed a Demo Program to test it out, how do I remove it? Sorry for such a stupid question, I suspect.. I did serach a bit but couldn't find anything about it...

WOW... um thanks.. and that should get rid of like shared libs and such? I assume they all install in the same directory

You're still thinking like it's Windows. (Most) Mac applications are self-contained and tidy. The only thing that generally gets installed other than the application file itself is a preferences file which can safely be left around, or safely deleted, doesn't really matter. AppZapper is nice because it automatically finds and removes those preference files for you. Otherwise you can just use Spotlight to find them. They have .plist for an extension.

Yeah it will take me a little bit to get outta windows mode 😀

I use AppZapper to remove anything i want to delete from the applications folder. I just mentioned the drag too trash way as its the easiest way too do it.
