I saw the puppy pics section and decided why not do a cat section. This is my cat Mia taken with my Nokia 6600. I have another one, Boris, but I can't find him at the moment.

EDIT: Put a pic of Boris up once again aken with my Nokia 6600.

Forget it. That link is from 2004. Just post cat photos here. It's specific enough.

I don't even see the point of calling out repeat threads. Who cares. Everything has been said and posted before. "Post Your Cat Pics" threads aren't really THAT commonplace, now is it.

I'm getting just a little teary reading this thread. I love cats (used to have two) but can't have one where I live nowadays.

And no, they don't have 'gangly' legs. They have beautiful legs. :D

A close friend of mine has one who I get to spoil once in a while like a dotty aunt, though. Watched her leap a 6ft fence the other day like lightning.

Aw, I do like a cat. :) My friend just got a kitten that is completely, undeniably bonkers. I'm definitely cat-broody at the moment. :D

Unfortunately, with potential moving around in the next year or two, I think we'd better wait a while.

also wanted to comment on the 'cat playing fetch' my female kitten, we have 3 cats, if I roll a ball down the hall, she will chase the ball, pick it up in her mouth and come back to me and drop it...she will do this as long as I am willing to play. If it is late at night and we are sleeping, she will pick and find the most random objects and entertain herself by patting it around and making lots of noise...usually around 4 am.

It's more fun with four cats:

The sixteen year old wants to lay on you all night. He's constantly cold and constantly hungry.

The 3 year old tabby sleeps with us on the bed, but gets up at 430 for a morning snack. I put him out, though. He can get obnoxious.

The 3 year old tuxedo (avatar) also wants a snack at 430. He goes out, too.

The 8 month old black kitten wants to play at 1030 pm and 5 am. the Tux will play with him and zip across our bed one after the other.

My wife says I'm the crazy old lady with all the cats.

I have a friend whose fiancee has a cat named something-I-can't-remember... anyways, it has opposable thumbs so instead of calling the cat something-I-can't-remember he calls him Thumbs. Best part though is that when Thumbs eats, he picks up his food one by one with a paw and its opposable thumb.

No pics on my work computer, but we have a grey tiger named Spaz (looks like Gary's) who is currently being terrorized by our female Shiba puppy. Whacks to her face with his claws, she's undeterred... tries to hump him every chance she gets. :D :o

Unfortunately, and I've timed this, after 8 to 13 seconds of purring and loving (longer times are the result of more food being put in his bowl) he will go ape-*****. Biting, scratching, gouging, hissing, spitting... loss of blood.

Thanks! I really miss him - he was probably the most intelligent cat I've ever met (as funny as that sounds).

I found him and his identical twin brother as kittens left on the side of the road. The whole way home, he curled up on the dash above the steering wheel, made me laugh pretty hard at how comfortably he rode.

If I made a sound, he'd mimick it, he'd constantly be pawing at door knobs, etc..

His brother got stuck in a tree once, and it took us forever to get him down (the tree was SOOO high - we needed trucks and ladders...it took a long time), and he got very sick after that. I don't know if it was from being up there so long, being scared, or both. He died shortly after.

Amigo grew up pretty healthy, except he was shot at some point by someone (pretty sure it was my mean neighbor). It just missed his tailbone, and he lived, but had a hobbled walk ever since - didn't slow him down a bit.

He kept staying outside longer and longer, and eventually he just didn't come back. Hopefully he's ok, which I tend to think. I don't think something bad happened; I sort've predicted he might run away once he began staying outside for 12+ hours at a time and never coming to the door.

Anyway, that makes me kinda sad.

Can't wait to see your cat! and all the other cats people have. Cats are hilarious, so curious all the time, and eager to be affectionate. I love them :D

My mother had a cat that we called pumpkin and at one point he was shot with a BB gun. The BB was left in him as it was so close to some piece of the body that if surgery was tried it might have killed him.

So, he lived a very healthy life but we had to be sort of cautious as not to scare him. We had a Sizzler just down the road and through some bushes and he would follow us about half way.

One night he did not show up in the morning at the door and we suspected that it might have been a coyote.

I wish I could have a cat, I think they are cuter than dogs. And I have yet never heard of a cat attacking a person so viciously as to need hospitalization, unlike dogs.

I know that I have gone on about my dog, Chewey. But I also have a cat, her name is Maribella. I rescued her back in 1992 from a bartender I knew that was at wits end in trying to find a home for her. She was two years old at the time.

I may not talk about her much, like I did Chewey. But she is her own "person". At least till this past year. At 16 yo, she has found her "kitten" side. But not for the camera. But I never loved her any less. I guess I had found out that I am more a dog person than a cat person. But I love her non the less...

Here is a pic in her favorite position.

It all depends on the temperament of the cat, and how it was raised, cuddled and generally held and interacted with when it was young. Cases in point:
http://i36.photobucket.com/albums/e25/dajoker002/misty.jpg My cat (Misty, left) was worked with a lot when she was little, and will comfortably sit on someone's lap or in their arms unless she really doesn't want to (which is not often).

http://i36.photobucket.com/albums/e25/dajoker002/zacksophie.jpg My parents' cats, Zack & Sophie (Zack's on the couch) did not get as much attention when they were little thanks to an older cat who had to be the center of attention... 3 years after the older cat died, they're just now getting to the point where they'll sit on a lap, but still will not acquiesce to being held at all.

Looks like you have 2 ragdolls? Am I correct? We got a ragdoll last year he's the best. He's a complete nut...

Nuc

You are half right, we got Roxy from these nice folks (http://www.purrsonable-ragdolls.com/) and Chloe was given to us from a friend of a friend who had some sort of breed papers but were lost. We aren't completely sure what she is. ;)

And yeah, Ragdolls are the best cats ever.

Hey everyone, nice cats/kittens :D

Cats rule.
Anyway here is my little baby. My 6 year old brother named him Yoda as we bought him at the time Star Wars was relesed. Funny how similar he actually looks to the real Yoda hehe. These pictures are taken on my camera phone when he was a kitten. And i made a short movie today of me playing with him CHECK IT OUT!!! (http://homepage.ntlworld.com/a.aarons/Site%206/Movie.html)

I'm sorry I don't get to share dog pix here too, since we love our puppy, but I'm not motivated enough to start a new thread atm, so one of our two photogenic kitties will have to tow the line.... (not near as cute as that kitten) ;)

This is Obi-Wan Kenobi.
Not the best pic in the world, since he's in the shade.
But I just love the expression on his face.

This is one of my cats. His name is Soda. My parents decided to name the cats after drinks. We had 'Fanta' 'Pepsi' and now 'Soda'.
Sorry about the quality, it was taken on my phone

My dog Felony is the best. She came to me courtesy of a felony traffic stop in my town. (Stolen vehicle, theft, etc) at just three weeks old. I had to feed her with an eyedropper for a while every hour....so much for sleep. Currently I have 4 cats and three dogs. All of them are indoor pets. Bedtime is lots of fun when they all jockey for position on my bed:) The housekeeper earns her keep around here:D
