I was just oogolling at the MCP at apple.com and I was wondering, why doesn't Apple make their own peripherals? Digital Cameras, printers, PDA's (again). Maybe someone knows the answer to it. For how big Apple has gotten this century (iPod, OSX, iMac) I think they could afford to branch out and build up their market base of products. Is this up Job's sleeve?

Digital Cameras, printers, ...Like the Apple QuickTake (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Apple_QuickTake) and the StyleWriter (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/StyleWriter), ImageWriter (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ImageWriter) and LaserWriter (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/LaserWriter)...? ;)
An iPhone, maybe with a decent 2MP camera, seems more likely...

wow, how did i forget about those? my family used to have one of the ImageWriters now that I think about it. Wasn't the company in a bad spot then though? I dunno, I think it would be interesting to see where Apple would have taken there products if they were producing them today.
