Major Font Problems!!!

Basically had an Imac 17inch for 5months and having major probs with font usage...i understand where they go but the thing is that i had to reinstall system and now when i place fonts - no sign of them...so please please help wats the best way to resolve this and bring it back to the start a fresh thanks!!!

I believe they are kept either in /library/fonts or /system/fonts. I use Suitcase so I can't say for sure.

If you can spare the change, get Suitcase or Fontreserve to manage larger font collections...

You can also put fonts in ~Users/yourusername/Library/Fonts.

I believe there is a limitation on which applications will see the fonts you drop in. Probably no classic apps, few carbons, etc.

On a 5 banana accuracy scale, this post gets 2.5 bananas.

If you have Mac OS 9 installed on your iMac, as well as your iMac, you can place your fonts in the OS 9 fonts folder.
