Description:: But be warned, Civ 3 is a definite ďtime burglar (to Quote Lisa Simpson). Playing against other human players online really changes the way you play the game. The new city and troop management features also make the game move much faster. While it would be nice if there was some sort of an upgrade path for owners of Civ 3, I honestly doubt anyone purchasing this game will feel they were gypped.

With news of Civ 4 for the Mac still months away, Civilization III Complete is definitely capable of making that time fly by while keeping your Civilization skills in prime form.

You don't want Civ IV. Trust me. Stay away from it. Its soul sucking, time wasting, fun from which there is no escape. I'm routinely on it until 3AM on weeknight when I have to be up at 6:45AM. There is a reason Civ IV has a clock with a built in alarm. Unfortunately they don't have a USB Power seat cushion that can shock the crap out of you when the alarm goes off.

I can confirm that Civ IV is terrible, awful. I haven't been able to play any other games since I installed it.

Because they have to port it to OS X, and moreover, now they have to make it work on both PPC and X86, which adds quite a bit of time. Expect all ports to take longer from now on (until PPC is completely gone). That's also why some games that were supposed to be ported by now, aren't. (Like Colin McRae 2005.)
