My iMac G5's cd drive is suddenly over reactive. When ejecting the cd's the drive is 'pushing' them too much and they actually fall over. Before it used to eject half the cd an dlet you take the rest, now it is way too much. Can this be fixed?

Yes it does. It actually shoots them off and the cd's fall on the desk... It used to work perfectly and I dont know of any software which might cause this problem. I run OS 10.4

Funny story...

I have that exact same model and my optical drive has ALWAYS done that. Nothing seems to have caused it and no solution is apparent. I just started to get used to catching the disc as it flew out...
