wired has just published the 2005 vaporware awards (http://www.wired.com/news/technology/0,70143-0.html?tw=wn_index_1)

the finalists in reverse order:
10. High-def TiVo and TiVoToGo for Mac
9. AlphaGrip ergonomic keyboard/trackball
8. Blu-ray or HD-DVD discs
7. Team Fortress 2: Brotherhood of Arms
6. Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess
5. StarCraft Ghost
4. Microsoft's Vista and Internet Explorer 7
3. Google -- betas galore
2. Phantom Game Service
1. Duke Nukem Forever

Duke Nukem Forever has been in "development" for almost a decade, but they still claim it's "coming soon"
I find ironic that their acronym 'DNF' is most commonly used for "did not finish" :)

I've grown to not bother with 'vapourware' talk. mostly because the definition has somewhat been lost. most obvious in that list is DNF and Twilight Princess. DNF is actually finished, they're just "making it fun" said 3D Realms so it really will be soon. Twilight Princess? since when did 2 delays, each less than a 1 year, make it count as vapourware? do these people know its definition?

I'm just lost is all.

Internet Explorer 7 beta is out....

whoever compiled this list should be shot. yes. shot. but somewhere less dangerous with a paintball gun whilst simultaneously taking a crash course in list compiling. just so he can come back and write better lists.

Internet Explorer 7 beta is out.... :confused:Notice the year. The awards are for things that didn't come out in 2005.
