I want to play The Sims on my iBook. If I install Virtual PC, how will it run?

you can get the sims for mac. but i heard that virtual pc doesn't work well with games. installing it and getting the mac version shouldn't make a difference.

haha.. haha... umm, haha..

I'm just kidding. No, it won't. Well, it might, but it'll play like a slideshow. Just get the Mac version.

It won't as VPC does not support DirectX (I think :o ). Even if it did run in VPC, it would be hideously slow and probably unplayable. There is a Mac version if you really want to play it. ;)

It's one of the first games I stuck on VPC as I knew it was so primitive (at least the main program; I wouldn't remotely attempt Makin' Magic, as it runs horrifically slow even on my 2.4ghz PC) that it should be rather nice.

It runs faster than I thought it would -- but I hope you're not thinking installing Sims 2 which barely runs properly on newer Macs. VPC is for circa-2000/2001 era gaming only.
