external HD - password protection?

I have a Firewire HD and would like to password protect it.

My Admin account (password) and my "Friends" account (no password) both can access the HD but I want to make sure if somebody else connects the HD to a different computer that he is not able to read its content.

I hope I don't sound confusing.

Just wanted to edit my post:

is it possible to work with an Disk Image in iMovie and Garageband? I mean: can I throw movies, songs, pics in that folder and also my iMovie file which changes all the time during the editing?

Yes. The Disk Image mounts on your Desktop, just like another volume. Just make sure you select the appropriate size (and monitor it) ahead of time.

EDIT:

Though you can use a Sparse Disk Image (http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?path=DiskUtility/10.5/en/duh1527.html) to create a password protected disk image that uses dynamic sizing. Might be what you're looking for.

Just a couple pieces of advice. 1) Remember your Password. 2) Back up your disk image regularly.
