S sotied macrumors regular Original poster Feb 12, 2006 #4 Not yet on either Going to trash the prefs first. I'll report back on the result. OK. There is NO prefs file for the activity monitor. I did a search for activity and for monitor and it didn't show up. Going now to see if repairing permissions works. BRB. PERFECT!!! Repairing permissions took forever, but it works like a dream now. Thanks, Jeff http://www.jeffcutler.com/jblog
