Hey guys, I've decided to try to get a 12" PowerBook, so I'm looking into selling my PowerBook (Titanium DVI), either here or on eBay. I'd like to sell it here first if possible. This was the last generation of TiBooks, loaded with all the options available at time of purchase (5/03). The specs are as follows:
1GHz G4 processor
1GB RAM (Both sticks from Apple at time of purchase)
60 GB HD
64 MB VRAM
Superdrive
Built-in Airport
Max screen resolution: 1280 x 854
I'll ship the computer in the original box, with the original software that came with it, as well as the box and software for Mac OS X Panther. Also, I'll include an extra Apple battery.
I'll also include a Booq PowerSleeve 15 (fits the PowerBook perfectly).
As far as the cosmetic condition, the display looks and works perfectly. No dead pixels or discoloration. There are minor scratches on the outside, but nothing serious. The two front corners have slight paint chipping, as is common for the TiBooks. There is an extremely tiny ding on the left side of the area underneath the keyboard, from where a key hit it, but this is barely noticeable. Finally, there is a small depressed area on the bottom of the laptop, but it doesn't look deep enough to cause any damage.
The only problem I can report is that lately, the computer has developed a habit of freezing, or not starting up on the first press of the power button. This seems to be a rare occurance though, as I've been working on it for the past three weeks without shutting it down, and nothing has happened. It's been working perfectly for that time period, and other than those two possible problems, nothing seems to be affected. An Apple hardware test reported that everything was working perfectly though.
Based on the excellent physical condition that the computer is in, and factoring in the potential problem listed above, I'm asking $750, shipped to anywhere in the lower 48 states. Since I'm not an Apple tech, and haven't been able to do a full evaluation of the system, I can only sell the computer as is. I feel as if I've described the product to the best of my ability, but if anyone has any questions, please don't hesitate to PM me, or email me at Steck50@aol.com. Thanks in advance for the interest.
