AD SUMMARY: (CHECK BACK SOON FOR PHOTOS)
For sale: (Firmware v1.5 PSP system+all bundled accessories+4gb hardrive+1gb memstick+Spiderman 2 UMD movie+"extras"+approx 8 months left on ebgames $30 replacement guarantee. Original receipt will be shipped with package.
FULL AD for system, storage, stock accessories, and extras:
"Limited Edition PSP Value pack" (first PSP launched in US) with original box, manual, and everything else included in that package (UMD movie Spiderman 2, Demo UMD, 32 MB memory stick, Earbuds with remote in-line music/volume control, soft black carrying sleeve, battery and AC recharger). Screen has been protected from early on by a thin-film (removable and reapplicable) Pelican Screen guard (see description below) and as such has remained pristine. I can see no scratches or marring of any type. Thankfully they are not located in the screen region allocated to black letterboxing in movies.
This "Value Pack" is accompanied by the original sales receipt that entitles the new owner to the remaining portion of the $30 Ebgames 1-year "Replacement Guarantee" . I'm willing to supply any serious prospective buyer with sufficient personal info to verify, by way of calling ebgames directly, that I'm listed in their computer system as having a PSP protected by the afforementioned replacement guarantee.
The package I'm offering here includes the Value Pack above plus:
-4 GIGABYTE DATEL PSP HARD DRIVE (made especially for the PSP) with bundled double-capacity "X2" rechargeable battery, this item also being supplied in its original box with the bundled high-speed USB 2.0 cable and "Max Media" media management software on CD-rom that unfortunately only works on PCs. This hard drive does ad bulk to the PSP when it and the X2 battery are (reversibly) attached, but the end result is a PSP that is actually easier for those with medium sized or larger hands to hold and play games. Of course the PSP will no longer fit in one's pocket or PSP carrying case when the hard drive and/or battery are mounted, but it's a great solution for bringing several movies, legally obtained game isos, or other media on medium to long trips. In any case the HD and bettery are easy to remove and transport in a separate coat pocket or backpack compartment. The hard drive access speed averages about 3 times slower than that of the mem stick, but at least 3 times faster than UMD disc access time (estimates quoted from Ling-sang's "Hands-On review", these being roughly corroborated by my personal experience ). Write times to the HD seem much slower in comparison, but this is subjectively exaggerated as ~4GB of games and media will take at least 30 minutes to transfer to the Datel, but then that's enough to last you a while. You'll then have certain music and games which you'll want to keep on the HD for weeks at a time, so swapping media in and out of the remaining 1-3 gigs won't seem to take as long. By the way the Datel is in excellent condition as well, having only had its complete contents erased and refilled from scratch on a few occasions. For those readers inclined to google for hard drive specs, the drive used by this Datel product uses the "Magic Stor" compact flash based hard drive. (photos to soon follow) Ling Sang confirmed that the Datel's small, hard plastic enclosure can be opened by the user and the stock HD replaced with the Compact Flash drive of one's choosing (restricted to 4GB capacity, surmised by Lik-Sang reviewers to be due to allocation limitations inherent in the PSP's FAT drive formatting system) in the unlikely event that the stock Magic Stor ceases to function properly.
-1 GIGABYTE "Gaming" MEMORY STICK pro duo (Sandisk Brand)
Blazingly fast.
EXTRAS include:
-SCREEN ARMOR ($10 value)
-LOGITECH PLAYGEAR hard protective carry case (only holds PSP itself, but comes in handy when the 1GB mem stick stores sufficient media to quench your rapid transit media cravings.
-PELICAN SCREEN GUARD. This is a $5 retail scratch resistant and glare reducing thin 3-layer adhesive film (non-yucky and reusable) that I applied to my PSP almost from day one. Thus while the screen protector has a few easy to clean smudges, the PSP's screen below has managed to avoid house parties and remain a virgin. No scratches or marring of any kind on the screen.
-tons of freeware hacks, HOMEBREW, and emu APPLICATIONS for almost every =>2 generations old console or handheld gaming systems released prior to the PSP -some of such content not being so easy to find these days - has been included for your convenience, with the understanding that I am not selling you these programs. I don't own them, nor apparently does anyone else. Some of the emus, including a certain versions of most admirably functioning ones for Neo Geo CD, Sega Genesis, and SNES games, in my experience ran most of the native console/heldheld software that I tested to within 92-95% the speed and framerate (frameskip= <2) enjoyed by owners of the hardware being emulated. Usually sound was emulated well too, but in some cases it was glitchy or somewhat distorted.
Neo Geo CD software - even the MSlugs - worked surprisingly well and (excusing the occasional glitches) embarassed certain of the GBA ports I've played on the DS.
Right now I don't have an exact figure in mind, but I'm open to offers.
PLEASE READ: At this point I'm not interested in breaking up the package by selling one or more items apart from the rest, so please don't ask. Likewise, please don't be offended if such requests go unanswered by me. If I change my mind, I'll be sure to mention it here.
CHECK BACK FOR PHOTOS of this deluxe package, some of which will be added tonight and others to follow in the coming days.
Please beear in mind, when formulating replies containing offers, that I intend to accept Paypal only for this sale. Therefore please include the 4% fee in your offer so as to preclude the necessity of me having to write superfluous PMs requesting clarification of such matters.
Also, I'm willing to fulfill special requests (as long as they seem reasonable) to send via email snapshots showing the PSP (or other items) from different perspectives and magnification levels.
NOTE: I may have forgotten to mention the inclusion of one or two small items/accessories. After posting this this I'll eyeball the PSP loot and report back with an addendum if necessary.
