Spore on Mac?

Does anyone know if the Maxis game Spore (http://spore.ea.com/) will be available for the Mac? I know most Maxis games like this have (Sims 2, etc.) but Spore looks like a complicated game - I'm not quite sure.

If it doesn't, I will have to buy a cheap PC... and that wouldn't be very fun.

The game looks really cool and seeing as though it's Will Wright, we should see mac support - maybe a year or so after the pc release...

I imagine if it's a big hit Aspyr will pick it up very quickly.

Given how popular the Sim City and The Sims series of games have been on the Mac, I'm sure that we'll see a version of the game released for us. I imagine it's a pretty demanding game so far as the specs go, but hopefully the upper end Macs will manage it well.

Of course, how long it would take to get it released is another matter all together... ;)
