Hello all,

I'll be going on an 8 day camping trip this spring break, and I'll be taking my Digital Rebel. Rather than pay an arm and a leg for a boat-load of CF cards, I'm looking into ways to dump cards onto my iPod Photo 40GB.

I've read that the Apple Camera Connector drains the iPod's battery pretty quickly, so that's out. I'm looking at the two options Belkin offers--the Media Reader and the Camera Link. From what I've read, the Camera Link is more modern, faster transfers, and possibly better. Because the two are comparably priced, I'm curious if anyone has advice one way or the other.

If I get the Camera Link, I'll actually be using this chain: card->generic card reader->Belkin Camera Link->iPod, so that the camera's battery isn't drained. Any experience using generic card readers with this product?

Thanks for your help/input!
