I now have two more Wallstreets that look like the "first one" but have 96MB RAM installed, currently. See the second machine for pricing info.
Pre-description disclaimer. :) These laptops are for sale only, no trades will be taken at this time as cash is needed. If you are interested, post here or PM (preferably) and we can work out details. I will only take PayPal. Reason for selling? I have way to many older Macs in my house :) I'm probably going to be invading the Marketplace with tons of these.
NOTE: Both of these systems have 512k of L2 cache, as opposed to the first release
First Wallstreet
233MHz PowerPC G3 750
160MB RAM
20x CD-ROM
2GB HD
12" screen
Battery Lasts 3 Hours
OS X 10.3.9
Asking price: $70 plus shipping.
Second Wallstreet
233MHz PowerPC G3 750
96MB RAM
20x CD-ROM
2GB HD
14" screen
OS X 10.2.8
Note: There is a left hinge issue on this that makes the screen fall back, see pics. It needs that box. Asking price: $95 plus shipping
Asking $70 plus shipping.
Pictures are of second system, more in next post.
EDIT: Lombard sold, payment arriving Saturday (hopefully)

How good is the 10.3.9 performance? Is it native or XPostFacto?

A) Whats the battery condition on the 2nd one ?
B) Whats the screen conditions on both, any stuck/dead pixels ?
C) Do you have any that are faster than 233, and or more ram ?
D) Any software installed on either, and are the OS disks included ?
E) Price for both machines, a package deal, shipped to 29063 ?

It must be xpostfacto, as these portables could only run up to OS X.2 without the patch.

Hey, the one system I have would work for ya with 10.3.9... and it has Word on it too :D
Wow, I'm gone for a bit and come back to a torrent of messages!! :D
The battery is dead on the second one, yes.
Also, on the first machine 10.3.9 is XPostFacto'd on, so whoever bought it would have to have a 9.2 CD to boot from, otherwise I could just do an install of it an set it to boot from there, and you just select OS X 10.3.9 when OS 9 boots.
Anyway, yes I do have a faster machine, but as of right now it is not working. Its a Lombard 333 with 64MB RAM and is hiding under a bed. I've never actually used it.
Otherwise, these are the only systems I have.
The screen on the second one, except for having a totally shot hinge as mentioned is clear and crisp. The 12" screen has the "older LCD" look to it.
Package deal to that ZIP code: Check your PM inbox.
To whomever asked about the performance: 10.3.9 is faster than 10.2.8

Are you using XPostFacto 4? I installed Tiger (chose "upgrade") over Panther with XPF and I don't even have OS 9. It boots from Tiger every time perfectly...never heard of having to boot into 9 first.

I'm using 3.1 since I need to get around some sort of weird screen issue that I had with 4.0. The "PatchedRagePro.kext" didn't quite like my Wallstreet here, so I had to revert to 3.1.
Also, yes, you are correct in that it should work fine, but I should have pointed this out as well: the PRAM batteries are dead in each, and using that PRAM battery juice is where XPostFacto stores the boot instructions.
Lombard: I will be working on it this week.... I think its just a loose power cord connector.

Bumps. As in all threads, "bump" posts (those that simply bring your thread to the top of the New Posts list) are not permitted because they are unfair to other members' threads. This rule applies not only to posts that say "bump" but to those with the intent to bump

While everyone is still bumping my thread.... Ok... yeah. That line of topic COULD have been PMd to him...
If there is no expressed interest in dealing with getting a Wallstreet, then there is no need to be posting.
Now, I believe someone had asked about performance earlier... for some reason Word loads quicker on the 233MHz with 160MB RAM and 10.3.9 than it does on a 300MHz desktop with 512MB RAM and 10.2.8... when I boot that machine into 10.3.9 Word boots faster... must be an OS related issue.

Hey there yeah... my AIM name is right underneath my avatar here. I most definately do accept PayPal... the address for ya will be in a PM.
It currently has OS 10.2.8 plus some other... useful programs... installed. I would have put Panther on it or tried XPostFacto'ing Tiger if my disks for each weren't scratched, so I had to resort to my good ol' Jag backup.
Once again, pics coming soon.
Now that I had originally planned on posting pics right away, I do need to mention this, which I was going to point out in the pics. There is a set of two vertical lines of pixels that are a different color running through the left hand portion of the screen. It doesn't do much except look a little funny. Pics will most definately be coming within a few hours, I just need to finish taking pictures of all the other junk that I will be listing here.

That's why I lowered the prices... I can't add any more RAM since that is all I have and it wouldn't make sense for me to sell this for $70 if I have to add $20 in RAM. I know that there are one or two people here who would sell you some RAM, though. rgunner has some 256MB chips for not too much...

Quick questions on the 12" Wallstreet:
What is the max memory on that model (ie, how many slots are available and what's the max chip size it will recognize)?
What sort of HDD did those use? (2gb can't have much space left after 10.3.9 :P) I assume a standard 2.5" IDE drive?
Are you including any OS discs with the system?
How much for shipping to 48837?
*EDIT* Also I assume these come with power adaptors?
Thanks!

Max mem... I know you can add a 256MB chip to the top slot, not sure about the bottom one though.
They take standard 2.5" IDE drives... I have successfully used up to a 30GB in one. I have an extra 4GB available, otherwise you can use your own :D
No, no OS disks.
Shipping... $9 per system I think.
Yes, yo-yo Power adapters are included.

I'm definitely wanting one of these... just gotta figure out how I can get another computer into the house with [edit:] the wife getting TOO cranky. (that makes more sense now :P)
Last question(s): The "other two" are 12" 233mhz Wallstreets, right? Same specs as "the first one", except less RAM. How are the batteries on those two? Also, just to clarify, you're asking $70 each for the 12's and $95 for the 14?
Thanks!

Batteries are just enough so that when you close the lid, you can move it to a different room and plug it in and open it up.
And yes, those are the prices I am asking for everything. If you wanted, I could do large group shipment of these for $330, shipped. (Saves on some of the shipping cost)
I will also throw in all the RAM chips I own (64MB is the highest, I believe), an extra 4GB laptop HD, and an 80GB desktop HD I have sitting around, though I am not sure if that works great right now.

Just how well does 10.2 run on that first WallStreet? I might consider it just for fun. :p
(I noticed it has 10.3.9. Much more perky than 10.2 or not?)
im_to_hyper

10.2 runs pretty well, not too badly. 10.3.9 tends to have a bit snappier Finder, though.
Overall, either OS on the system runs quite well and it is fun to play around with these.
