Thank you for your interest.

The specs on this unit are as follows:

500MHz G3 Processor (66MHz System Bus)
384MB RAM (128MB on the motherboard; 256MB in the one available upgrade slot)
10GB (Toshiba) Hard Disk
DVD-ROM Drive
ATi Rage 128 Pro 8MB Graphics Card
Comes with a Brand New AC Adapter (the white brick, not the silver circular UFO)
I will also include the VGA adapter for using the iBook with external displays.

The system is in great physical condition with only a few minor scratches. Recently, I have "modified" the Apple logo on the back of it to appear green, I can either leave it how it is, or change it back to the normal white.

The only issue I've had with the system is a reduced battery life. The current battery in the machine lasts only approximately 1 hour (when it was new, it was about 2.5 hours). A new battery can be purchased for the system, however.

I have all the original "manuals," CD's and boxes for the system.

Please contact me via AIM (povvy) or e-mail (povvy@mac.com) about the price (not set in stone).

This iBook makes a great Linux machine. I will include a Yellow Dog Linux 2.3 install disc if requested. OS X included with the machine.

Thanks again,
Patrick.

It was pretty simple.

1) Remove top plastic shell of iBook
2) tape <insert color here> celophane over the clear spot where the apple logo is
3) Put the top shell back on
4) Enjoy ;-)

How did you get yellow dog 2.3 on there? I have os x installed (10.2.3, no os 9) and i would like to put linux on it too. I don't want to reinstall the os (obviously dont want to repartition).

no repartition, no re-install... no YDL for you!

you will prolly want 4-5GB for YDL if you want to get serious with it. i would suggest a 30GB hdd sou can have 15-20GB for your primary OS (OS X I presume) and decent space for OS 9.x and YDL.

Data wise, it's time to get burnin' !!!
