Ok... Quicksilver (http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/macosx/22549) will do all the stuff from that article, only much, much simpler... :rolleyes:

What system is this guy running?

Why wouldn't you just spotlight the app name press command to highlight the top hit and hit enter?

I use Quicksilver for launching apps and opening regular files, and Spotlight for finding those files I rarely use and/or aren't sure where are...

i agree. quicksilver is instant - spotlight always takes a while, even if it's two seconds :rolleyes:
