Has anyone tried this?

Powerbooks have the ability to hibernate, this is basically a sleep mode where the contents of RAM are also dumped to disc in case the battery runs out. OSX has the ability to hibernate but it is disabled on iMacs and Power Macs. This hack enables it for these desktop machines.

I'm curious if it will also be a viable solution for those of us with the Intel iMacs who are having issues with not being able to wake our iMacs from sleep.

I did this with my iBook G4, but I've never really tested it myself. I've had a few warnings saying my book will go into "Safe Sleep" if I don't plug it in.

When I get it back from the techies, I'll let you know.
