I got a new iPod nano for my b-day (v-day). I got the 1gb nano. I just wanted to tell the people that it does NOT have a pinkish display, and I like that it is a lot faster at loading everything than even my iPod (video) 30gb.

i thought the pinkish hue thing was an issue with some of the 23 inch cinema displays only. (and the newer aluminum ones at that) never heard of that with an iPod, but i admittedly don't know much. :p

I thought it was ACDs (Apple Cinema Displays, for the acronymically-challenged) that occasionally had problems with a pinkish hue.

The original iLounge article (site not working for me right now) stated that the 1GB nano screen had a pink cast to it, in contrast to the blue cast of all other iPods. There was speculation as to whether is was a bad unit or if it was true of all 1GB units...looks like they may have just had a bad unit.

That's because it uses flash memory rather than a physical hard drive.

That's good that there's no pinkish hue. I've been thinking about getting a 1gig nano for exercising, I didn't know about the hue until now. Interesting.
