Powerbook 12" WXGA Mod

I want to put a 12" WXGA by modding a PB 12",

Does anyone have the specs on the original LCD in the PB 12" and the type of connector for the LVDS connector.

I assume that the resultion could then be changed in the Open Firmware...

How exactly would a wide aspect ratio screen fit into a 4:3 space? Or do you plan on having black bars above and below the screen.

The screens on laptops use different connections every time for every manufacturer. This is why using a laptop screen as a desktop screen is a near impossible task.

Bars, well maybe some flat speakers, or a thin Li-Ion battery.
I will have to mod the bezel anyway...


I just need to know about the connector.
As far as I know the PB 12" uses a Samsung panel. Samsung makes WXGA 12 inch pannel, which also uses 1-channel LVDS....
