iPod Altec Lansing InMotion and iPod Video - Pls help!

Should my new iPod Video work with the Altec Lansing InMotion speakers? When docked in the InMotion, it charges, but will not play any songs (the song's time counter will not move). I tried with another InMotion, with the same result. Is this a problem with my iPod, or is the InMotion not compatable with the Video iPod?

You have not said which version you use, but my 5G iPod works fine with my iM7.

I know for a fact the 5g 30gb works with the im3.

60 GB 5th generation Video iPod, and the original InMotion speakers (not IM3 or IM7).
