Added New HARD DRIVE...iTunes 2 B transferred....any help needed?

I currently have over 2000 songs on my old c: hard drive....and have bought a new external 100g hard drive......everything in iTunes points to my c: drive....

Is there an EASY way to fix my iTune to point to the new hard drive?

Have not moved anything yet?

So, I guess your using Windows...

Lets say your new drive is F:\, and your music folder is iTunes.... so F:\iTunes

Open up iTunes, go to Edit, click Preferences.

Go to Advanced, and where it says 'iTunes Music Folder Location,' change it from C:\Documents ... etc. to F:\iTunes. Check the two options below it. Click 'OK'.

Then, go to Advanced, and click 'Consolidate Library.' This will copy all the songs to one folder automatically.

Then, go to the C:\ Drive's itunes folder, and delete all the songs (or keep them as backup, like I did.)

Music and videos should (read: must) be on the same drive. The actual iTunes program does not have to (and shouldn't) move. As long as iTunes knows where to look for the library, you won't have any problems
