Hello fellow mac users,

I have a Revision A iMac, and when I purchased it I opted for the teeny tiny 80GB hard drive. Now, I desire to get a much much larger one. I don't think I'll have a problem with installing it myself, if I do I work with Apple-certified technicians every day, so no harm there. I am looking for suggestions on what brand/model of drive I should get. 300GB is the size I'm shooting for.

Seagate is my brand of choice, but I don't want to make a decision on a new hard drive for a proprietary and cramped computer without asking others first. Thanks for the help?

Any brand will do, really. Seagate's a good brand because they offer a five year warranty. Besides that, I would look beyond the brand name and look for the best deal instead.

You'll have no problem doing it. Doesn't take 2 minutes.

thanks guys, I'll probably go Seagate. The 5-year warranty just shows that they trust their hard drives to last. My friend had a western digital with a three year warranty... 3 years and one week after he bought it, death knocked on its door. poor guy.
