Normal WMA files can be converted using iTunes. I did so using 4.7 on Windows. I hope that support carried over to OS X was well. Protected WMA's can't be converted. You'll more than likely have to burn them to CD using a PC and encode them again or have to give them up.

a cheap way of doing it is using wiretap: http://www.macupdate.com/info.php/id/12272
it records any sound comming from your computer, so just play the wma file and record it, and will save as an mp3 :P

iTunes for Windows can convert WMAs for you, but the OS X version can't. Anyway, there's a little application called EasyWMA (http://www.easywma.com/) for the Mac that allows you to convert WMA files to various other formats. It's free for the demo, $10 to register. I've never used it, but it seems popular.
