I especially like the cut-out Apple stock number from a Jaguar OSX 10.2 box (M8718Z/A) that was stuck on the original con job, and that whoever did the bad photoshopping job neglected to remove from it when the 're-purposed' the original hoax as a Creative product.

Reminds me when I was vacationing in Greece, there was a street market in Athens and some seller had carefully cut out Panasonic logos from product boxes and glued them onto cheap-o brand telephones and portable stereos - you could see where he had cut the cardboard with scissors and everything.

I'd like to point out that humor is hard to convey over the internet, as words are interpreted very differently by different people, cultures, etc. So it is the fact that jokes, in cyberspace, don't work the same as in the real world, that causes the issue, not the joke-teller or the joke-reader.

To be honest, I don't think companies usually use that term themselves, it tends to be the media that will stick that label onto any portable media player. It just shows what a good job Apple's PR & marketing people have done with the iPod.

It's just like creative. Take something that looks good, make it a weird color, add your logo, and add some odd looking buttons to try to make it stand out.

d00d, it isnt about the Photoshop Job.
Its about how CREATIVE cant think of their own products and steal APPLE's ideas just days after there products come out.

Seriously, it was a funny post when taken at anything other than face value. The sad truth is that if Apple release such a product, somewhere in Singapore there will be a Creative designer working on such an "iPod Killer."
