Because most widgets are usually inferior to apps, such as that one. The app shows you the precise number of hours, minutes, and seconds to the specified day, hour, minute, and second, while that widget only shows you to the day.ChrisFromCanada said:

try that one too. Basically if you dont like the App from macupdate then that is your own fault. You can try some of the ones suggested in the comments. Until then you will probably have to use the widget.
