I love how he uses the speed comparison of an iMacIntel to an iMacG5 to say that the MacBook Pro is not significantly faster than a PowerBook. Granted, the Core Duo is not computationally VERY impressive vs. a G5, which is a most excellent, advanced processor. but... A G4? those things have been old school for awhile now. granted there is no 4.5x speed improvement, but the improvement on native apps, as they come in, is still quite significant. This will prove to be a very significant speed bump as the universal binaries roll in.

The only reason I don't want one is I really, really, really want a laptop with 4 or 5 hours of battery life under normal usage. I'm much less concerned with raw computing performance, more interested in mobility... so, where's that 13 inch widescreen MacBook with 13xx by 768 resolution!
