iPod For the iPod audiophile

An iPod hi-fi accessory is rumored for tomorrow's Apple Event, but somehow I doubt Apple is going to build one of these... But kudos (I think) to the person who dreamt this up, vacuum tubes and all, which I stumbled upon while strolling through Akihabara. Only $2600 give or take a few.

you might want to include this in the thread in the Music discussion forum 'audio equipment that make you go WTF". on a more serious note, sure looks impressive.

I'm looking at the new Apple iPod Hi-Fi and thinking WTF. But if it sounds truly extraordinary, it will redeem itself. The thing pictured above is far more audiophile in nature.
