I am considering putting my copy of REALbasic Professional Edition along with the printed manuals and "REALbasic: The Definitive Guide" from O'Reilly for sale. I am trying to gauge the interest for such a potential sale, and I think an announcement on a Macuser website is a good place to do it.
REALbasic is a powerful IDE that lets programmers create full Mac and Windows programs. Its "drag-and-drop" feature lets users create fully-featured GUIs without too much hassles. Here is a description of the Professional Edition from Real Software's website:
What's the difference between Standard and Professional versions of REALbasic?
Both Editions compile applications for Macintosh and Mac OS X in the same way.
The Professional Edition also allows you to compile unlimited applications for Windows and to access databases in an unlimited way.
The Standard Edition's Windows compiles time out after five minutes and 30 days (they will run for five minutes at a time and after 30 days, won't run at all). The Standard Edition allows database access only while debugging (not in compiled applications) and is limited to 50 records.
The Professional Edition costs $300.00 and the printed manuals and the O'Reilly book costs $50.00 and $40.00, respectively. The software is totally legit, and I can furnish the original invoice at the buyer's request. I will probably post the items for sale on eBay soon, but I will listen to some offers. I am willing to sell them all at a highly discounted price, so if you are interested or have any questions, please e-mail at: macktheknife@spyre.net.
