I have 2 towers:

PowerMac 8500
Workgroup Server 8550

I don't know the specs. I know they were in running order when I acquired them. They may need work, I'm not sure.

I also have an older 15" Apple Display. As far as I know it works fine still, although the color isn't the sharpest.

These have been sitting around in my closet for months now. I had the intention on building a server with one of them, but I don't want to bother with them.

I don't have boxes to ship them, but am looking to get rid of them. Make me an offer if interested, and we'll see what we can work out. ;)

That's quite tempting- i love old towers. Lemme see if i can come up with an offer--

could make a nice soft base station...

I have a PowerMac 7100/66 and a 7200/90 if anyone is interested. And 2 Performa 6116CDs, and a Mac IIsi, and a Mac Classic.

And 2 17" Apple MultiScan Displays.

Man, I hate "me too" messages, but me too. A 7600 looking for a good new home. I'll also be retiring an 8500 in another month or so that could also benefit from a warm, loving home.

...although I'd also appreciate it if someone can point me to a good set of "How To's" for setting one up as a Server, etc, so that I can find it a new job to do.

I'd say ~200 is a good price for one. range of prices is 150-300 depending on what's in it.

they hold their value well because of being 'king' (http://everymac.com/systems/apple/powermac/stats/powermac_9600_300.html) of the pre-beige g3 systems. 390W power supply and extremely upgradeable.

while I don't mind anyone else trying to unload their old systems...I find it a bit uncouth to do so in a thread where I'm trying to get rid of some stuff...

I don't know...maybe it's just me...

How much were you looking for on the 15 monitor?

hmm...the 15" is an older CRT...works fine...but not crystal picture quality...would make for a great tool palette though...

I don't know what it's worth honestly...how's $25 sound? :)
