i used to trim trees as a sideline and here are my favorites:
for climbing and small jobs, the echo 302-s (the stihl 020 is good but very pricey)
for middle sized jobs and limbing, a 40 cc husky (preferably the 240 series)...i used the cheaper husky 45 model which i used for small and medium stuff and it worked well but was a little delicate if i found a branch too big
for larger jobs, i like my stihl 038 super, but the 044 is better and very light for a big saw
and for my husqvarna and stihl saws, only oregon bars and chains will do
