Powerbook Back Lit keyboard

The BL KB for the powerbook is a really cool feature im thinking of purchasing a used PB. Does anyone know which model this featured first appeared on?

15" & 17" Aluminum PBs..
However, it was an OPTION early on in the 15"ers, not an automatic addition. I don't think it was an auto-add-on to the 15"s until the current crop of G4s (1.67GHz).

First appeared on the 17" PowerBook as a standard feature. Then came to the Aluminum 15" PowerBook on its introduction as optional.
